I trade only with sellers which allow me to pay 30 or 60 days ofter invoice emission.

In Italy we use to pay 30 or 60 days after...

With this method I can see the goods I've buoght, test them and if is all ok I pay, if it isn't I returns the goods paying only the return shipping.

In Italy if goods are not good you can return them within 10 days from the date of arrival.

I think alibaba needs to put a person with phone and call and visit the sites of companies in China and eliminate fraud companies listed from its website. Or it it will huge implications on credibility of company as whole. I had incedent where companies in china quoted a very cheap prices on electronics like camera it was  like wow and unreal prices. But fact is its a scam as the bank TT deatil will reveal not company details rather individual accounts . Also Please be mindful of moneygram as it is used widely by crooks  and fraudsters . If a company is displaying payment through money gram contact alibaba to verify or else many hard earn dollars will go to some people who has no morals and ethics. Regards Rinesh

It better to lobby to alibaba to delist fraud companies from its website or else it will be open range for fraudsters to use the Alibaba forum to rob many innocent people.

I was scammed on Alibaba big time.  I also read of a few cases where the Seller travels to the Buyer to sign a contract and picks up a deposit but never delivers.  When i heard about that my background in biometric fingerprint recognition kicked in.  I have a USB fingerprint sensor that records the live fingerprint placed on the sensor.  This is not a regular screen capture.  It generates and image and puts it into a format that can be analyzed by any fingerprint search algorithm (AFIS used by Governments).

Here is the idea:  Use the fingerprint sensor to record their fingeprints at the time the contract is signed.  This still will not stop fraud.  This will deter fraud.  This is completely legal if you require in your contact.  Other forms of protection should also be recorded like, official identification with picture.  With a picture and fingeprint combination it is really hard to wipe the slate clean of a fraud incident.  Like I said this doesn't stop fraud but it will deter and have the person think twice.  If they are honest they have nothing to worry about becuase product will be delivered.

Remember the image recorded from my system will record it in a format that can be used by any investigating agency.

Always do your own due diligence!

Check the Alibaba Forums before doing business with a company you don't know. And pay attention to the warning signs that are discussed and posted in the Alibaba Safe Trading Forums.

Do a Google search with the keywords "CompanyName" and "scam" or "fraud" and check, whether the company has already been reported or discussed in connection with scam and fraud.

Most scam con-men do try to avoid showing their faces, and many times they have no problem calling you over the phone; as with many urgent calls about certain love ones in dire need of money to stay in hospital.

Or that you have won a mega- million bucks lottery, and that by mailing in/ WU you tax money owed due to this amazing lottery, you will be an instant millionaire!

To some scamers working on this and other websites, who claimed they can sell scrap metals or whatever, and ask you TT's your 20 -30% before yard visits are just simply stupid, and many times they will immediately lower their deposit as soon as you object.

If that does not work, they will continually bagger you to death, until you try them out, and of course you just kiss your money goodbye when you give in to pressure or a false hope that something will happened.
