Switch B/L ? what kind of B/L is it ?

How it been applied ? for what purpose the switch b/l is related to ?

The reason being that some of the supplier would not like the buyer to know about the export destination. Eg. office in Japan, factory in China and buyer from Europe.

I think it's common about the manufactuers and supplier from outside china, as now china is the manufacturing hub and most suppliers got their thing from China. Still, they want to remain their export destination at their home country; so they would go for switch BL where they would change the original BL with the new BL which stated the goods coming from their home country.

Correct me if i'm wrong as I doesn't deal with shipping...:)

     Dear  Gino 22 :    Quite  right  but  not  all  means

     The  Switch B/L  is an operating instrument (B/L)  that  under  Shipper's  authorize it can be  transferable  to  3 rd party  as  agreed  with the buyer !  

-  It could  be  in a direct  either  transshipment  one,  as long as still in  One Liner or Carrier Company,  Co related  with the  L/C  statement  of  it,  in some  condition  the  carrier being nominated (appointed) one. 

- Mostly  being used  by trading company,  also  found in a condition that being 2 countries  do not have  diplomatic link or  having Quota/embargo.  So need a middleman as  the mediator  or  transaction link..  And  in a few  cases,  the buyer's  Office is in country A  while the  Consignment ( end destination) is  in country B. 

we  will  go for  a more  definitive  narrative later,  after  a few  comments from  other audiences.  keep  following  it....
