We have to see both sides of the coin. I am both a buyer and a manufacturer.

Buyers don't trust supplier, but has anyone ever consider that sellers also don't trust buyers. Real Seller stand to lose more than buyers if things goes bad than a buyer. This is why Legit Chinese Company will only accept money upfront or ask you to leave a deposit before they start manufacturing.

If a factory starts a production run. They must first buy all the materials, configure the machine, get proper staffing, get certification if required and stop production of other items. All this is a very costly and time consuming process.

Selling Online: It has become as dangerous as buying. There are lots of scams and more happening every day. Buyers using fake or stolen credit cards or jacked Paypal accounts are just the start. They've also been faking money orders, fake T/T transcript, intentional delaying or mis-spelling information on WU transfer, so that once you've realize what is happening; you've long since sent them your item.

Some of the scams have become more elaborate, where they overpay you for the item, and then get you to refund the extra by money order, while having used a fake credit card to send the funds in the first place. By the time the credit card company dings you for the amount you sold your item for, you've already send them a refund... and the item.

The only way to be absolutely sure that the sale is legit is to wait for the money to clear out of your bank. Most buyers aren't happy to wait that long, so it's always a roll of the dice.

As internet technology evolves, criminals will find news ways of exploiting the innocent. But remember one thing, your best protection is not the legal system, it is simply your common sense. Never forget the golden rule of online buying "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is."

Buyers and Supplier are both at risk. Buyers have the advantage of forums and a multitude of place where they can assess, get advice and evaluate the supplier. Supplier don't have these luxuries.

Not all suppliers are bad, if they all were we would be on this forum, have no clothes to wear, no dvd to watch and no food to eat.

So how can a real supplier protect themselves? How can we protect the good ones as and trash the bad ones.

As buyers we should find ways to help as a good supplier are hard to come by.

As suppliers what advice can you offer to others.
