Inspecting goods in Jakarta

Is it possible to engage an inspector of prospective goods in Indonesia, for instance hire a company to inspect if they are legitimate or not.
I am looking at a product line in Jakarta. But have had several warning mails suggesting great care be taken as there a lot of scams going on there. The company Kentot Enak, on the face of it seem honourable and legitimate but of course that is the usual story isn't it, charming and reassuring but can so often ends in tears. The company apparently can supply Segway products as sourced from Japan. However I have been advised by people in the know, that there is no such option available, and the only real segway equipment is available from the USA. No company in Indonesia claiming to deliver this product can do so, and are hoaxers. So that seems to me that alibaba has a huge amount of hoaxer companies registered with them, perhaps I am hitting the nail on the head there, so to speak.
So the crux of the question, is there an organisation/local company who can verify suppliers claims, and actually inspect the goods, a verified accredited inspector I mean. I don't want some relative of a scammer company mailing me and joining in the party "verifying" the goods for me and then charging me for bogus information!!
God it is so difficult sometimes to try and make a crust in the world, Business and commerce could be good if the bad guys didn't keep ruining it for the well intentioned amongst us!

Please be advised, the only recommend one is the agent of SGS surveyors,
from EC (Geneva) in former days in Indonesia were SUCOFINDO, Super
Intending Company Indonesia, now became PT Surveyors Indonesia. as a
credible partners with Indonesian Custom for controlling the goods and tariff of
Duty & Tax in Import export as ICC - UCP for CCCN or HS (Harmonize System)
they provide many service in goods inspection, Labs Analyze (chemicals), graders,
Origin/genuine, fumigation, etc,,,, have a look into their Web...OK
Tips:
-contact Indonesian Embassy and get advise from NAFED which would give you
"official/legal" advise about this company and the Inspection (legal one) e.g PT.
Surveyor Indonesia ( SGS - Indonesia).
-Review and verification your counterpart(contact), as the name of company is
very impolite (=En: Good Faxx ) using local dialect. ?? your contact is subject to be
a Suspicious fraud/scam case.

Thank you for your input there oneuni and essar53. I appreciate your answers. I will contact you essar53 in a short time. oneuni, interesting options, thank you. By the way, what do you actually mean by the line name of company is impolite, what? the contact's company name is impolite in local dialect, is it? not quite sure by the brackets =en: good faxx etc. I must be missing something there! I see you mention ranger too, yes he is a great source online here, he has already advised me on several items. In fact I may be wasting peoples time a bit here, not that I mean to, but there is a lot of good reason to suggest the supplier I am looking at is a scammer, but one lives in hope I suppose. I must stop being a hopeless optimist, it does me no good.

No company named "Kentot Enak" in entire Indonesia although those guy is mad.
