My parcel forwarding Agent experience!
Hey, there!
I am glad to tell you that I've got one friend from europe contacted me though this forum,
I was so surprised that he is so trusted at me, as we do not know each other at the
beginging, he add me through TM and asking me whether I have XXX courier account,
I was pround to tell him that I have. later, he asking me for a discount of this courier.
then I call XXX to know more on this site, and I applied the discount for him.
After a discussion, he confirmed to let me be his helper in China, the work I need to
do is to forwarding all his parcels in China to him, the second day, he immediatly paid me
the freight cost and the salary of my work to me by WU, although I told him that WU is not safe, but he said that he trust me, I could not express my kind feeling to him.
Actually, he has save a lot from my diacount account and send by once to instead of sending
by a few times of parcels, two ways of saving cost, and a month salary to me.
Good luck to everybody!

As an exporter of various industrial engineering products from India, I have had wide & varied experiences with many agents across the globe, ranging from countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Kenya, U.A.E, etc, but the most interesting individual was from Singapore.
Generally an agent is supposed to be in a specific line of itens, but this elderly gentleman even though having limited knowledge of the specialised range of products that we are dealing in, has mastered the art of convincing the buyer alongwith carrying ouy several extra curricular activities which are most helpful to society at large.
Kudos to the spirit, enthuthiasm & energy of these whom we call 'AGENTS','COMMISSION AGENTS','BROKERS',INDENTING AGENT','BUYING HOUSES', etc.
Every time we interact with them we learn something new about our trade, the country of their residence and generally about what our competitors in the other parts of the world are offering, all said and done to be a successful agent one has to be on his toes all the time to make that extra buck.
Thanks & god bless

Hello , I am 15 years export - import agent , all what i can say that international trade agents help to improve the ways and methods of marketing and explorring new markets and new products around the world .
I do believe that the export - import agents help to apply the international trade in the right international legal way because of their knowldge of the rules of this kind of international transactions .

I am specialized in Brazilian commodities but I live in USA. I have professional and reliable connections in Brazil (I'm Brazilian myself).
Every request I receive I provide straight forward answers and do not continue a negotiation if the terms are not good for both sides.
We have an engagement process where everything start with a form and hopefully ends with a contract.
My competitors sometimes make promises they cannot stand (specially on low prices of commodities: nowadays almost inexistent).
How do you build trust with potential clients?
I am responsive, reliable and make my communication info available. Fast response always creates a good impression.
When it is possible I clear the path between the buyer and seller by allowing them to communicate (once the NDAs are signed).
What advice would you offer to agents making a start in international trade?
An International Trading Certification helps a lot to create trust (I am pursuing mine)
Alibaba's Trust Pass is also an excellent tool (I am also pursuing it but I will first change my corporate status in order to be more visible and transparent)Share your experiences as an international trading agent here now!
Patience, optimism and professionalism are the key ingredients for an international trader success.
All the best,
Ed Torres
