There is NO guarentee, unless you roll into the factory and pay cash for the products after having done your own inspection. That's the reality..... There are ways to minimize your potential problems, but each case is slightly different and the mothods can be a bit different depending on the product type.

Go for Irrevocable LC payment, let the bank do the job for you. It's the safest way for both parties!

If indeed you are looking for large quantity of goods, chances for defrauds will will much less than buyer of smaller quantity. This is because you will probably by dealing with big reputable suppliers or manufacturers.

There agin, if you are able to buy large quantity of goods, then you must be financially well established, then you will be able to do some very good ground work, like visiting your suppliers or manufacturers.

And if you are talking about buying a varieties of goods, you may want to put-up a buyers in that region of your supplier or even to set up a buying house. The more estabished you are in that region, the more suppliers and manufacturers will approach you with better offer.

You shouldn't have much problem, get some right people to check the ground, review the quality, control the prices and shipment and you are in business.

In the begining times you'd better come to factory check,I think you will check  some factory ,then you will know which one is big ,which one is cheap etc. in the trading process you also need to find a local forwarder that should be big and trustly company.t/t 30% advance , 70%  pay on pick

here are some advice for your reference:

first of all you should have a copy of their regesitration lience after you see the orgional one.

second: payment as L/C , T/T and use your own shipping forwarder.

third: you should come to the company personally after you research them on internation engine .anything i can help you please contact me

two things you can do:

1. Ask his competitors - from them you will at least find out whether the seller you contact actually exists and sells the commodity he claims to be selling. they will also be more than happy to point out any problems your seller might be having

2. Get yourself one loyal partner in the country you are buying from mostly and buy the rest through him. He will charge an interest of course but you will minimize the risk. The trick is in getting this first loyal partner though, but don't rush in with big purchase, try starting slow...

The best way to buy is by FOB backed up with Letter of Credit. This is a bank to bank transaction with documentation. Specify that the merchandise will only be paid upon quality control check. The seller will not be able to collect without the document submitted to the bank so funds can be release.
