i came across this company at alibaba, need experts help to verify whether this korea company called "KAONI CO., LTD" is legitimate or scam? they claim to sell some cosmetic products.

SCAM  there is only one Kaoni Co., Ltd. in Korea and they are not a trading company.  Its a software development company.    There are some individuals using the real companies name to promote their business e.g. http://www.alibaba.com/member/kr100772605/aboutus.html 

If you notice on that page this business to claims to be Kaoni Co., Ltd.  But, then you read further and they say they are Kaoni F & B Co., Ltd.  which is not part of the real company.  They are even so crazy to also use www.kaoni.com as their web address where anyone with half a brain can tell that the real company is an IT company. 

If you have found another company selling cosmetics IM sure its actually someone using the name of this well known company, but more likely their real name may be closer to Kaoni Trading Co., Ltd.  or even something else that may resemble the name of this company.
