Replying to [dazzlediamond]:
Gemstones are frequently bought thru 3rd parties rather than individual jewelers.

Depending on what stones you deal in you might be better off having an agent in the major jewelry cities in the world.

Replying to [dazzlediamond]:Dear Friend,

Please search your product required company in the buyer tab of the alibaba.com and you will definately get a companies in the buyer tab and send your mail regarding your product in that mail send the full information about your product. IF the buyers need they have a requirement then they difinately contact you.
Except alibaba.com you have to enroll on the other side like tradekey.com, made-in-china.com etc.
Thease side helps you to search your required company. And hope you will get good buyers in the said sites.

Regards,

Friend[em13]

The truth is that you will probably never sell even 1 diamond, ruby, or emerald through Alibaba due to the vast amount of fake goods and fraudulent sellers that list products on this site.

You will not be trusted enough by any buyers to sell them products without them seeing samples or knowing that your item is legitimate. Most gemstones are sold with certification in closed environments between people that inherantly trust each other.

Alibaba is not the place to form these relationships. You must do this at private events, trade meetings, business settings...

Replying to [dazzlediamond]: Hello dazzlediamond, I have found that one of the greatest way to market your gem(s) is by auctions. I'll get to that in a minute, promise. Let me tell you what happened to me so you can beware!!
I was a a powerseller on ebay (username: RussianRadiance) until I fell victim to a "phishing" e-mail. I received a Bogus e-mail that I thought was from PayPal, (a Ebay company) Foolishly I clicked on the link in the e-mail, logged into my PayPal account and resubmitted all my financial information.
Your probably saying to yourself that this guy must be some jerk,(me)
Well let me explain. I consider myself to be pretty sharp and street savvy when it comes to scammers. I thought so too. I have 5 children and work late at nite when all are asleep. What happens is that these "phishing e-mails come in all types and forms. It was my birthday at the end of Feb. and my credit card just expired and I received a new one. This was in 2004. I received the bogus e-mail stating that my Credit card on file had expired. It stated to avoid uninterrupted service to my account, e.g. receiving payments, please update my info. I was having about 300 auctions coming to a close within a 24 hour period and did not need those kind of problems with customers trying to pay me. To make a long story tedious it took me almost 2 years and tons of paperwork to clear my good name with paypal.( If you are suspeneded for any reason from PayPal you cannot sell on Ebay)

I finally got reinstated on PayPal on Dec. 22, 2006
Since I was now in good standing with PayPal I thought I was now able to resume selling on Ebay. Wrong!!!! I have been suspended indefintey from Ebay with no explanation. Do you believe it???
They did say that I broke one of their policies but did not clarify and will not resond to any of my e-mails, all friendly. I was the victim and I was the the one suspened. You can read many horror stories at
paypalsucks.com. Thats another story.

Lets get to business!!

In response to your question, I did a fantastic biz with mmy ebay auctions. I worked about 2 hours a day, 5 days a week and did over $125,000.00 net biz in 2004 Customers from all over the world will find you and if satisfied the'll be back for more. After initial sale or contact deal direct with the client. I'm just getting back into my .99 cent No Reserve auctions on both Yahoo and Overstock auctions. I have put a link to my auctions for yahoo on my website(www.russianradiance.com) and will be putting one for Overstock.
(I have just started auctions w/ overstock) I just want to wish you good luck and feel free to conatct me for any help I may be able to provide. I have found some great buyers here on Alibaba as well. Take care and be careful of scammers. If you have a good product as well as good pricing you should do very well.
