I am an Australian living in China.

There many forum and discussion board where you can make friends with foreigner.

The standard way is MSN, Yahoo Messenger, Myspace and many expats site. That is a good place to start. Foreign don't use Q.Q only so that is not a good place.

Take caution as with any stranger. Don't reveal too much information to them unless you get the know them better.
