Hello,

What I have noticed frequently throughout this forum is the large amount of buyers who have been scammed by Chinese companies in the process of buying Brand Name products; specifically electronics.

Now, we’ve all heard that a large portion of our brand name electronics are Made in China . This believe has caused millions of dollars in fraud each year from the China.

Let me break it down:

YOU cannot purchase WHOLESALE pricing from China for BRAND NAME PRODUCTS.

But why? If the stock is made in , then why aren’t their wholesale pricing there?

The answer is simple.

When a brand name manufacture like “Apple” has a new product to design, they contact factories in to manufacture the units. Reason being is that the labor pay will be much less in then hiring a factory from a different country.

But, as soon as the units are build, they are shipped DIRECTLY to Apple in USA . The factory CANNOT distribute the Apple product among China. If the factory did distribute the units among China, then this action is considered ILLEGAL, and if you purchase those ILLEGAL gained products, then you will also be prosecuted by the law. .Every single legal Apple product built in will be exported back to the USA . The ONLY possible way for a supplier in China to get their hands on the Apple product is by IMPORTING the units from USA or an Apple Distributor. ( There are no Apple Distributors in China )

So let’s go over this once again. A supplier in China cannot at all get stock from an Apple Factory in China . They only way they can get stock is by importing from USA in which they will only then get their BEST price.

Now let’s think for a second, if this supplier has to import the Apple products back into China first and then he/she is allowed to sell; how can he/she possibly have better prices then let’s say a supplier in the USA ?

The answer is simple, they CANNOT.

Any legitimate supplier in China that supplies ORIGINAL Brand Name products will sell over $50-$70 more expensive then an average supplier in USA the for Apple products.

So now let me recap everything:

If you plan to purchase brand name products; then NEVER EVER purchase them from China if you’re looking for “GOOD” prices. You WILL find a much better price if you search for the product in the country where the brand name product is imported back into.

This article stands true for ALL Brand Name Products.

Exactly,Martin!

I can prove international brand product price is higher than US or EU.

China is a big factory for international brand, but not market. Those brands just choose to produce in China, then they will ship out. There will be nothing left.

I suggest Mod mark this topic so that some newbies can see it before they get scammed.

Quoting from [Xeron]:

In the last 4 years i have been to most cities in China and spend 10mths a year in China on business, and the amount of suppliers i have visited and checked over this time is just too many to think of. I have worked at a factory for 1 year too and been to most of the Shows in China, but with all this travel i have yet to see any supplier export Brand products from China.

If i could buy laptops i would, but only Chinese brands i have seen in China and the cost is too close to prices already being sold in UK, buyers should also think why these suppliers don't show their products at the large fairs like Canton, but you would only see Chinese brands there.

Hello Martin!

I am a newbie and a retailer looking for manufacturers/ wholesalers of NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and soccer jerseys. I have had some correspondances with some suppliers. Are you saying that I will not get the respective logos on the jerseys from a supplier from China?

Thanks for your response at:  heckathleticsdotcom@yahoo.com

Thank you for your time and efforts!

Have a great day!

Hey Martin

That's just shocking and interesting as well!!!  Its true....you just broke a belief I had for many years now. So do you mean to say that this applies to any brand, say if I wanted to import HP toners & cartridges. I just received a quote today from a chinese manufacturer who says they manufacture tons of inks & cartridges every year, not just HP but other brands too. I found them through a verified business directory 'Made-in-China.com'. There are just hundreds of companies listed on that directory. But how do they manage to do this? Or are they doing it as you mentioned, by re-importing it back to china.

Also if i wanted to import genuine brand HP cartridges & toners in bulk, which country can I do that from for a good price?

I also have to mention I did have this other notion that the main distributors of these brand companies, say for example, Intel has one of its main distributor called Synnex and they have distribution centres in Taiwan. I am not sure how that works?

But thanks again for that wonderful info!

Which leads me to believe that Alibaba knows all this too but does nothing to prevent innocent people being scammed and so is complicit in this illegal activity. So-called trusted gold suppliers can just buy that status and continuing scamming. They are partners in crime.
