How can I cover the risk of getting off grade products specially from China?
Post 1 of 6
During the last couple of months many buyers from Bangladesh has received off grade materials from China.  Some were even not usable. As a middleman  or as a buyer how can I overcome this problem? Points to be noted that all these shipments had gone through PSI by Cotecna International and they issued CFR against the products!!! But when the shipment was received [em6] Thousands of dollar just gone.

Is there any product / service through which we can neget this risk of fraud specially when the subjected product is scarce, manufacturer is not directly involved in exporting?[em33]

Know why there is no answer, that is because it is a perennial problem. There is corruption on every level.

The best way to solve them problem is to do the inspection yourself or assigned it to a agent over there to do the inspection.

I quite understand why you get unusable products, just as we known, off grade products contains high risks for businessman, especially when you have not seen this product.

You may said you have PSI by Contecna, but I would like to tell you this is the problem with big inspection company, they know nothing but money, they do not treat customers well because they never need to worry about orders.

Maybe you come to China and inspect by yourself is the best idea.

HI,

I am regret to heard your story. and goods is from China. For this competitive market for suppliers, you buyers all should be more careful now.

In my opinion and experience, if you import a huge amount of goods regularly, it would be the best to have a helper set up here in China to tracking the goods from you, not a inspection pre-shipment, but also a tracking on material before their bulk production. and same to other process when goods are under production.

If you need my help , contact me through TM.
