Scam or not Scam - confidential or not?
Post 1 of 5
I'm a newbie here on Alibaba.com - and it seems, I already had my experiences with scammers. Learning about scam, I think, nobody can trust to anyody.

1. A scammer do not write a good English

I'm from Germany and I'm sure, that my English is not very good and I know that I write with mistakes - but I'm not a scammer.

2. A scammer uses a free e-mail account.

I saw in the internet, that government organisations in Africa, for example, use yahoo-adresses. Are the scammers?

3. The address of spammers is not to verify.

What can I do with an address in Japan, for example? I also know that a lot of person (companies) do not edit their addresses in phone-books... I also know that in a lot of countries the internet connection is not so good as here in Europe...

This some things show that it is almost unpossible to figure out who is a scammer or not. Or have I to understand that it is unpossible to get businesses here on Alibaba or other online b2b portals? Is all here only a lie?

How many time I have to spend, if I have to think, that every offer could be a scam? In this way I'll have not the time to work and to do businesses, I'm always on looking for addresses and phone-numbers, hours for hours... Is that worth to do it?

I don't know, what's the right way to get in contact with serious companies to deal with them and to have good businesses for both.

I thank you very much for an advise.

It is nice to know you are worried about scammers. But will you let this fear stop you from doing business?

And what is wrong using "yahoo" as email?????? Goodluck with your carpets.

That is, what I thought about. It can not be, that every one who uses a "yahoo"- or "gmail" or what ever public e-mail-address would be named as a scammer. I think that every one has carefully to read the offers or inquiries and then has to decide for himself: is that a scammer or does he really like to do businesses with me? I think with the time of contact every one will find it out.

I think in this way, because I learned in the time, I'm in the world wide web that there are a lot of countries, where the internet is not as usual as in the land where I'm living and therefor only the e-mail-address can not be a sign for scammer or not.

I wish us all the great businesses here on Alibaba and where ever in the world or www.
