I think anyone with an iota of wisdom can smell that certain members are running an anti-alibaba campaign on this site, i think Administration is well aware of this, and they should take certain actions
1. All such issues or threads should be made in one particular forum and i think Chat with Alibaba fourm is the most suitable for such discussions and any other post related to this in any other forum should be deleted.
2. Scam Chinese companies Thread also should be made only in one particular sub-forum... i think most suitable forum for such thread is ' due diligence' ... the author should present proof of the fraud ... invoice/amount/date etc etc else the Post should be deleted... there are more chances that some competitors as fake members making fake claims against the company to undermine its repute.... If some member is found of making false claims or allegations against any company he/she should be banned.
I believe Alibaba.com is one of the best B2B sites on the planet, and i am actually grateful to management of this site taking such a 'bold' step to start a discussion forum... However they need to keep an eye on fierce competition and i suspect that rival B2B sites should be signing up as fake members to undermine the repute of this site...!!!!
Chinese are like our brothers and we know they are one of the most honest and peaceful nation on this planet.... China is the largest exporter to Pakistan and i am surprised that none of the Pakistani are complaining about them... in most cases the users are from north american region who are making consistent complains ....... there are always some bad people in every community however they should not generalize all chinese companies as scam.... and everyone can smell it when members have put 100 of hours preparing a presentation with pictures and graphics to undermine this site repute where they are coming from!!!

I fully agree with what you have said BUT,
i am using alibaba to do some trade with chinesse companies, and i guess there is no smoke without some fire.
Surely, alibaba must know who some of the scammers are, and these should be banned.
There is one list of companies who are said to be scammers, and 1 or 2 of them i have been talking to over the past couple of weeks with a view to doing business (xinxia-gift.com) - now i don't know what to do.
If i decide not to do busines with China we all lose out - I do, the chinesse company does and ultimately alibaba does. Muliply that by 100's and alibaba has nothing to offer the sellers let alone the buyers.
It would be easier for alibaba to police the situation, and give greater confidence to both buyer and seller. Ultimately, a policed service could warrant higher fees for alibaba, where both sides would know they can deal in a relatively more secure enviroment. IMO

There is no "Anti-Alibaba campaign"! That would imply that people here wanted to destroy Alibaba, disapperaing it, and that's not the case. What's going on is an "anit-mistake" campaign (or something along that line).
Alibaba's often mistaken policies and actions (or "in-actions") have caused lots of trouble to unsuspecting users, and that has to stop - not the speaking up against these problems.
We all want Alibaba to continue existing, but at the same time we also want them to do their job right! And that's where they miss out - big time!
As long as that doesn't change, you'll see many more complaints and expressions of disappointment and anger in these forums. And that has to continue until success is achieved! It's a responsibility we have!

hi,
I salute your comments for this b2b site, but unfortunately you can't say it is 100% in good service because I'm a member
of alibaba for a long time as a buyer. I got some good supplier but few to mentioned we count for honesty but nothing...
gold member .. they are just good to you if you are going to pay and send them money, after you got your goods and if the goods has a problem they won't entertain your complaints as like alibaba, I wrote my complaint I visit the factory but when I reached thier factory the person you had talked before they transfered to other office and if you talk to the manager they will just say I'm not in-charge of your goods.
I wrote to alibaba for thier concerned but ... nothing happen even to answer my complaint nor to send email to this factory.
Do you think it is good.......? you are not in our shoe that's why you can say that.... Alibaba is a good sources of seller nor supplier that based in china. but what I want to intend to is to take care of thier "GOLD member" to be honest. To be a member "gold " is expensive... this is only for the money just for the payment but there is no "DISCIPLINE" nor "SECURITY" how buyer's to be secured from "GOLD MEMBER" .
Please observe .. carefully " Don't judge the book by it's cover but read the book by it's content"

You seem to rant on about the anti-alibaba campaign and are suggesting that
people from rival B2B sites are raving on about being ripped off here ? Give me a
break...
A logical person could also rightly state that perhaps you are being hired by Alibaba
to make such posts. So, how would you like it if someone called you Pro-Alibaba - but for
vested interests ?
Please respect freedom of speech.
