I recently interviewed with a company for a spot with a team of five women that's led by a woman.

I am a man and my concern is that I would not fit in. Furthermore, I have heard recent statistics that a high percentage of the population would rather work for a man.

I work for a company now where it's good 'ole boys...I can golf, go out for drinks, swear, etc. in a corporate setting. Am I setting myself up for failure by taking a job in an arena dominated by women? The reason for change is 100% salary based.

Usually the problems with woman leaders are " too picky, narrow-minded, too sensitive, emotional and perfectionist, etc..",  but it depends, maybe this woman leader u work for is quite nice, caring about male staffs, understanding and easy to communicate..  heheheehe. so i suggest you to work for her for a new months and see if u can fit in?

I dont see any problems with regards to working with women. Your capability is more important than anything else. Why dont you try.  Dont you want to be treated  like a king.   [em15]

You are the one who has to make the choice.  But consider for a moment,  women are becoming some of the best business leaders around the world and most are doing it while running a household.  This includes handling scheduling problems, Budgeting, inventory, Sales, Maintainence...  and that is just at home.  Women can multitask better than most men because the always had to.  Women are more understanding and at the same time less tolerent of indescretions, swearing... Depending on who you are and how you are they can be the best employers.

hhhmmm... My experience says - A boss is never a man n neither a woman...a boss is always a BOSS....But as every individual is different, it depends solely on the boss's nature and behaviour...

moreover, as u mentioned about the statistics....there are two things i want to say -

World is majorly dominated by Men (its changing now)

secondly, our decision builds the statistics...statistics should not take the decision..

go on MAN.. Women can be fun....[em3]

Tell you what, working in a woman predominant environment is rather tough and it's not enjoyable at all. A lot of people would say that you are really lucky to work with some much girls working around you.

Trust me, the stress you going to have is much hyper than in sex-equal environment! The office gossip and policitcs really going to kill you! The women are really an interesting creature! One thing for sure though, you could really learn alot of thing especially relationship management as usually they would turn to you individually whenever there's any problems as you're the opposite sex and always seeks for your support and stand by their opinion! So you really have to act accordingly so not to hurt anyone else.

I'm just one of the "lucky" and "unlucky" guy. "Lucky"= being around with bunch of girls really gives you a good feeling....[em10]     "Unlucky"= when they argue, you are really in dilemma!!!![em11]

Man you are just not  accustomed to work for a woman. And you are accustomed to work for a man before. That 's the main reason,i think. Be yourself and they will like you and you will like them., unless you donot like women at all.

Maybe you have changed your job?
