My First Order Meet Problem
Post 1 of 38
I've decided to make my first order of some photographic studio lighting equipment from a seller 'Changzhou Simock Electronic, Co, Ltd.' From past threads I've tried to research the company a little on google which has brought up their home page and also a list of other sites which they also sell on. I'm having trouble finding any positive review/feedback from others who have purchased off them which has made me somewhat hesitant.

At this point in time we have agreed on a MOQ but I've also requested a sample item before I order the MOQ just to ensure the quality of the item but also that they are legit. They agreed to send a sample item at my expense which was reassuring. Should I be less concerned that they are offering a sample item? They request T/T as a payment means which is reassuring as I notice scammers rely on western union.

I realise it must be frustrating to see a constant flow of newbie threads popping up however this being my first purchase I'm very keen to make sure it goes right as I'd prefer not to lose a few hundred dollars buying a sample item which might not exist.

I greatly appreciate any assistance or tips and thank you for your time.

Alex

Hi Alex, this is Maria from Fujian China, I have been in foreign trade for more than six year, with my experience, chinese people are willing to do business on the terms of payment by TT, TT 30% down payment  and the balance paid at the sight of copy of B/L ,or LC at sight.

I have suggestion, first , choose payment by LC; second, find the third party reliable people to help to contact with seller

i wanna know whats LC payment, because i sent 1800usd to a site that promised me the goods for a better price. And ended up getting the wrong stuff, plus, they all went out with battery problems. some didnt take service on them.

continued from pg 3

I also paid another supplier for 11 phones prior to knowing I got burned by Lindas company. This company is HEFEI HUATANG TRADE CO., LTD and ( MS JOSE ) is the person that lied to me about the company having the phones I needed. Again I verified hours prior to sending payment Western Union to make sure they would have what I had asked for. She said not to worry they had lots. However, 2 days later I was told they had sold out of all the phones by that manufacturer. I doubt they ever had them to begin with. When I stated they needed to return my money via Western Union Jose told me her manager said no that I had to order something else.

I no longer will trust ANY supplier unless they send the product first and accept payment after I verify that they had sent the correct item... I do not trust any china now. I do not believe they are honorable people after this nightmare. Three different companies all stole from me. I have never had this happen to me in America... I learned my lesson. Do not buy International with China. in my experience they cannot be trusted.

HEFEI HUATANG TRADE CO., LTD CHEATED ME!

KINGPOWER TRADE CHEATED ME!

HEFEI FUSHANG TRADE CO., LTD. CHEATED ME!

Hi Alex,

It is wise for you to be cautious about purchasing from a company you have not done business from before.  I have purchased many products from China and share your concerns even now with new suppliers.  I would suggest you use an inspection agent in China to visit the factory before you send money to assure they can produce the product you are sourcing.  Additionally, this agent can inspect the product during manufacturing and assure its quality prior to final payment and shipment.  They are well worth the money to give you peace of mind and assure quality.  Look on Alibaba under inspection agent or agent in China.  You should find many of them to choose from.

Good luck and let me know if I can help.

do you think Alibaba will help you? trusstpass and goldsupliers is only something that you pay alibaba and you will get. it is not saying they are trustable. I am helpping my customer import from China, I do the research and I make sure things go right. risk is quite small and the cost is small too. just 3-5% of the contract value, you get rid of the concerns.

It is common to find that suppliers in the Asia region generally only accept payment via payment options such as T/T or WU. The whole reason is that they aren't informed of other payment options. You would barely find any suppliers in China know what escrow etc.

I tried contacting themever since 1/12/2008 on their mobilephone, phone, email, msn and alibaba online chat and they're not responding at all. I'm originally from Shanghai, China and I know that the industrial and factory areas estimated trading hours are from China time 6AM-6PM. I also find it very hard to believe that they still open after 11PM in the night.
