The fact that so few have rely to this topic could mean a few things:

1.   Nobody is interested in being a moderator

2.   Most do not understand the role of a moderator

3.   No body is interested in this topic

Either of the above mentioned answer is no good. Someone needs to do something about this.

I have no interest in being a moderator myself, but if you ask me, I would look for the following traits in a moderator:

1.  He should be knowledgeable, no necessarily an expert, in his/her forum.

2.. He should have the contributors at heart, always trying to make them look smart, instead of trying to make himself seem the smartest and insist on final says. See the good in others and try to understand rather then presume.

3.  He should get ideas moving and fade into the background to encourage participation instead of popping up and answering question himself.

4.   He should encourage topic to be concise and easily understood, if possible.

5.   He should spent time with the forum and make sure that there is compliance to rules, truthfulness in posting, classification of posting (original or otherwise) and clarify if necessary.

He should be a : leader, mentor, advisor, guide and controller. His role is not to destroy but to construct, to create win-win situation. Not to humiliate but to encourage, not to suppress but to promote.

 

Wah! why you like dat one? You writing some much for what?. You want to become a moderator meh? Siow ar you. You write so much sekali they say ok you become moderator than what,? very proud meh... you makan full full nothing to do is it?

If they are offering a good deal, I may consider it. But I doubt so.

My forum development plan will consist of : International Marketing Expert who will help the audience to promote their business, increase their  global sales and expand international markets and guide them through to inform about online tools. Logistic Expert who will discuss resources available to exporters to assist in navigating through customs clearance requirements, and cost-effective shipping internationally. Cultural differences expert who will help exporters to bridge the the gap in connecting with their foreign counterparts. And financial expert who will focus on variety ways of payment options and the most secure way of getting paid in international transactions.

       Oge :  with the ABB's-scale and members in this resources channel, I believe All the

       stuff (materials) had been there include the Expertise,  but  the more need are a Nature

       of Social-worker, Public relation, a Panelist, A Communicator,  ..such  A Figure ..in a

       dedication, participation, contribution. 

       A figure that willing to share not to take only.

The real moderator Ali looking for should be hired of full time,  if someone almost are the businessmen here I think now that they are trying find how to make money on Alibaba, how could  you expect  them to contribute their valuable time to be the moderator of this forum?

i think to be a good moderator
1 you must equivalent activity
2 you must find the topic which are interested in by most people
3 you must organize some movements often at network
certainly these are not enough,remain to do many other things

first thing is first. get rid of all spam and scams..
