Ballroom dance refers collectively to a set of partner dances , which originated in the Western world and are now enjoyed both socially and competitively  around the globe. Its performance and entertaiment aspects are also widely enjoyed on stage,  in film,  and on television.  While historically ballroom dance may refer to any form of formal social dancing as recreation, with the eminence of dancesport, n modern times the term has become much narrower in scope, usually referring specifically to the International Standard and International Latin style dances. In the United States, two additional variations American Smooth  and  American Rhythm have also been popularized and are commonly recognized as styles of  ballroom dance.

I have too left feet...can't dance if my life depended on it. However, still love to watch the elegance and grace of the movements.

My reply is a little late, but I feel just like Remus. If you want to make me feel uncomfortable, invite me for a dance.

On the other hand, once I was in Prague, giving a little speech. During a break I realized that there was a graduation of a dancing school in the next salon. So I went over there to watch.

The gentlemen were wearing formal dark suits and white gloves, while the ladies were wearing evening gowns, also with long white gloves. Man, what a beautiful and elegant event!

Me? I'd rather die than dance! [em4]
