Shipping by sea is calculated on volume (cubic meters... cbm) as a general rule.
Air freight is basically done by weight...
Depends a bit on WHAT you are shipping and how much of it

Shipping costs involve the charges that you incur on account of shipping the goods that means... Carriage cost from your factory to nearest airport or seaport and then freight /customs broker fees and finally you add the air or sea freight costs to your chosen destination to it !! trust that clarifies
