We all understand the important fact when dealing with new suppliers is trust, and by visiting them you can learn much more.

Once you have made all your suppliers checks and feel a visit is the next step you can contact your local Chinese helper to vist the supplier and gather information from them and make a site report, this report can be sent to you the buyer with 24hrs of the visit, you would have enough information from the supplier to start new business or carry on and search for another supplier.

Some basic checks can be>

1. Verify supplier is at this address
2. That the company name is correct
3. They are a factory, agent, trade co, office,
4. Check company registration on site.
5. Check product certification on site.
6. Check production while on site.
7. Collect product catalogue from supplier, business cards.
8. See machines used for production.
9. Stock control, warehouse.
10. Take pictures of all area's and offices, products.

Some suppliers that are not real would not want site visits made, so when the helper contacts them maybe the visit would not go forward if the supplier has some worries?

All samples were finally delivered yesterday, they say have sent you an E-mail with tracking number, right? I checked and still on the way, while should arrive today, please pay attention. Luckily it can still catch your container time, although the delay is really such a long time... Hope sample quality can meet your need for such waiting.

Yes, I can help new traders get more clear idea about their future suppliers here, and begin their business under a more secure way. Luckily none of my previous companies are with such tricks, at most some delay for new sample delivery ...

Language barrier does bring much trouble for international business, and I find more and more foreign friends are learning Chinese... I'm glad my Major is English at university, hehe, hope I can do some help for such barrier.

Also, distance is another barrier.

Sorry for not being online, just a bad time now all goods are ready to ship,

The systems were sent to our Shanghai supplier yesterday as i checked the tracking info, but the delivery company could not send because the contact number they have is incorrect?, so i have got the supplier in Shnaghai to deal with this and collect the systems ready for shipping.

Tomorrow i will go to another factory to check our first batch of Electric bikes, and test them, make sure they meet the UK law requirements for the road, It has been a nightmare to arrange so many products from all the suppliers, but next time will be easy as most of the hard work as been completed,

I am a acting as a supplier-agent broker for an American company that is presently undergoing very large orders with suppliers I have verified and validated.  I operate out of


Hong Kong , and have lived in the region 7 years. 

I will do all the research, validation, site visits (yes I will go to to meet the supplier first) and any other due diligence to verify authenticity.
