Hi how can i find out if a company is legitement and not scammers.

i found some good airless spray machines a good brand from indonesia but scared to send any money.

Has alibaba done anything for us buyers to do safe trading or are they just as bas as ebay/>

if you found the brand in Indonesia, forget it businesses selling Name brand goods have no license to distribute to other countries.  In fact, the distributor to Indonesia for those products is most likely in Australia anyways.  In fact if I were you I would first take a look at this page http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=5938 and see if the Brand Name is on that list as they are the most well known brands.  Then I would contact the office of Intellectual Property Rights listed on that page and see if the lesser known brand is on the list.  If it is on either list your import will be confiscated by AU Customs.

Its been my experience that my clients who were new and tryed to import for the first time on their own got burnt the first time with AU Customs fine of $200.00AUD  2nd time you try to import anything on either of the lists and the fine goes to $55,000AUD  Believe me as my clients found out the first time they did it on their own loosing your goods plus the fine does not set well with the pocket book and AU Customs is stricter than most.  Ignorance of the law is no defense for confiscation or the fine.
