It's like Christmas to westerns. People get together. Wherever they are, they go home. This is a one year a time celebration. On New Year's Eve(Feb 17th this year) family reunited, have a big meal, watch TV, talk about the past year and plan for the future. The Spring Festival Celebration Show by CCTV-1(Chins Central TV-Channel 1) has had a history of about twenty years. The big show start 8:00pm, and last till 12:30am, is must see for many people. Mr.Hu will give his blessing to all Chinese usually.
The next day, all people go Bainian, visiting relatives and friends, old and young. Children weaer new clothes and will ask you to give him/her Yashuiqian, which is brand new bills of cash. In return, the child say good things to you and wish you all the best. We also set off many firworks.
