i am a international saler, but my english is not very well.our company is a manufacturer of motorcycle articles, main products are helmets, also tail box.i feel a little difficult when i express my ideas.i want to intreduce clearly to my customers,i know our products are excellent and competitive, also i believe them can make customer satisfied, but i can`t make customers know them clearly. how do i do?
first things first, you'd better learn enough information on your products . The most important thing is to get the English name of the items of the products in order to describe it in Englihs .Search some vocabulary especially some good words such as :superior quality........ If all things above you have done, may be it is due to your oral English.Use skepy to chat in Englihs.
Good luck.![]()

There are so many company manufactured Helmets. Your have to differentiate you products from others in term of Quality and Price. You have to learn your competitors products as well in order to do that.
So, take your competitors product and come out with the comparison tables, so that your customers indeed convinced that you have a good products.
Thanks

haudunhelmet2- Finding the right customers and letting them who you are is a challenge. In addition to what others have mentioned industry trade show is one of the best ways to meet in person face-to-face with a potential partner. Additionally, industry associations are also good ways to find customers and make them aware about your product or service. Go through the list of companies that are members of that association and contact them. Focus on finding quality partners and not quantity. If you are not getting response may be you should look at the type of information that you are providing them. You will be surprised sometimes that it could be you and not them that is not communicating well. Be persistent and persistence will always pays off.

I am from the US, and I am often willing to help overseas manufacturers or distributors 'polish up' their translations. I stumbled into helping this way by asking questions regarding a posting made on a Craigslist forum by an overseas supplier. (Craigslist.org is a bulletin board type system with many topic specific forums.)There are three very helpful things you can do to start:
1) Have ONE person in charge of translation at first. If three people are involved, it will take more than three times as long to become good at translating. After that person is doing well, they can help train others, and double check their work.
2) Get the English version of your word processor (OpenOffice, MS Word, etc). Use the spellcheck feature 100% of the time. An example that I always remember was a security system 'protected by key and luck.' I would much rather have a key and lock for my security.
3) In correspondence, be truthful about your english skills. Point it out, and ask for feedback or questions. Example: "English is not my first language, please ask questions if anything is unclear. Also, please feel free to make suggestions if something could be stated more clearly." Many people are understanding, willing to help, and are more impressed by honesty than by a bad translation. (We have a word for badly translated documents: Chinglish)
Other suggestions: Find an english forum or discussion board related to your product. Better yet, find an english/<your native language> forum. Ask if you can post your current advertisement for help with the english translation. If economical, offer a benefit to the person with the best translation. This could be a sample of your product, a discount on an order, or possibly just a mention of the translators name in the released advertisement.
If offering a sample, request (do not insist, but request) that person post a review of your product in the appropriate place. It is, of course, a good idea to make sure the product will inspire a good review.
Check your terms and words on google.us (or .uk, or .au, there are a few differences in each countries english)
I've done quite a few translations, with the corrections and explanations as to why the change was made. I do not speak languages other than english, so the person I am helping will become familiar with the type of things a native english speaker will have trouble with. (Also because I have a hard time learning another language.
) I have done this in some cases because the product interests me, and in some cases I have been paid to do this.
I'm replying above in a way not specific to your particular product so others in your position might get some help from this too.
If you'd like, feel free to contact me for a little bit of free help if you have a particular advertisement or webpage in mind.
Thanks
