I was communicating with a company from Indonesia early last week setting up a transaction, the communication went very well. Once I made the purchase, and sent the money, I have not heard back from them. I have e-mailed them about 5-6 times with no response. I'm hoping it is simply taking some time to process the order, but I'm starting to get worried. I checked them out some including their website before ordering and everything looked legitimate. What should I do? I had high hopes for doing much business with suppliers on your site. I would appreciate any information or advice you can give me.

Well, I guess I should have asked questions before making the purchase rather than after. Here is some information from the place I ordered from.
Almasar Store
Jl. Ade Irma Suryana No. 120
Jakarta Indonesia ID 10562
Phone: +6281381570900
Website: www.almasarstore.com
E-mail: order@almasarstore.com
Please inform me when you find out if they are a legitimate business or not. I appreciate the advice and input I've recieved from everyone.
Thanks, Ron
Hello Ron Schwab,
As I read your story, I was amazed with the action of Almasar Store.com scammed you.
I am Indonesian living in Jakarta and having my own business company. After reading your story, I initiated to find out whether the online store Almasar store.com is really exist physically has its own registered office building. Meanwhile, I tried calling several times to its given phone number +6281381570900 which is a handphone number but no one answer my calls, its connected thou. Secondly, I tried to look over by using the Jakarta street map, finding the name of street given, Jl. Ade Irma Suryana No. 120, and also the given area code 10562, none of these information exist.

Hi Ron,
I too was almost scammed by an Indonesian crowd too. I was soo close at making the wire transfer. I checked their web site and they looked legit, but when I checked to see if the company actually existed by going to "www.yellowpages.co.id" I found that thet were not even listed there. I then rang the phone number on their web site and suprise, the phone number was not even connected. I contacted the seller and they told me that they now have a new number. So then I called up the mall they were supposed to have a shop in and gues what, there was no such shop listed.
Luck that I did not go through with the transaction. I have since checked other sellers from Indonesia and they were all fraud.
The prices these guys offer seem too good. Which brings to the old saying. If it sounds too good to be true.. then it probably is.
Do your investigation before transferring any money to these companies.
Good luck in getting your money back.
Cheers,
TP (New Zealand)

Hi Ron and to Everyone,
I am on the same boat as you are. I was dealing with them about 2 weeks ago and did a bank wire transfer to them last May 23,08. Never heard from them again until now. Reading from this posts...Im sure that I got scammed too. This is my first time trading here in Alibaba and what a bad experience it was already. Ron, maybe we can coordinate and try to somehow get our money back or at least some of it. I have all their bank information and western union information with me. For sure we can come up with something having those information. I will try and contact the bank where I sent the money to and maybe go from there. Ron, you can email me at vtorres_76@yahoo.ca so we can somehow coordinate. We have to try and stop people who are like this.
