How to charge commssion for cargo shipping services

Can someone recommend the best way to attach a commission for cargo shipping services? I have a Sea Cargo service in South America that is offering shipping service and i am sending them buyer inquiries. Have not dealt wiht this kind of service before-only material goods.I would like to charge the sea cargo company but am not sure how to attach the commission. Thank you

Theres no way for you to get a commision in this instance.  You can either charge a flat fee for the information or you will need to actually become an employee/company representative for them.  The other way you can go is to become a freight broker agent yourself, where you would then arrange for shipping with various carriers depending on where the cargo was being shipped from.  For this you need no U.S. license.  heres something you may want to check out.  http://www.gatlineducation.com/freight_broker_training_faqs.html
