News : Earthquake measuring 7.6 Richter scale hits SW China .

    With a population of 111,800, Wenchuan lies in southeast part of the Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Aba, 146 km to the northwest of Chengdu, provincial capital of Sichuan.

    An earthquake measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale jolted Tongzhou District in east Beijing at 2:35 p.m. Monday. The quake's epicenter was located 39.8 north latitude and 116.8 east longitude, according to the State Seismological Bureau.

    Xinhua reporters in Zhengzhou, Chengdu and Chongqing also reported tremors.

    No casualty was reported yet.

I feel so sad when i heard this bad news yesterday. This is seldom such  big earthquake in China even the worldwide. Now the casualty become more and more according the Statistic. I don't know how to help them only hope no more casualty. I just thought why we cannot  forecast this matter accurately and promptly ? then we can do lots of preparing work to avoid the loss as possible as we can.

It is  a natural disaster, we can do nothing about it before it happen. I felt so sad and sorry for the people there. like you.

This morning, i called my friend in Chengdu, she told me that she slept last night outside her colleage dorm in fear of another earthquake. About 40 Millions in Chengdu did like my friend there. Even worse, now we can not get connected to our high school classmate works in Wenchuan, the center of the earthquake. Wish her best luck and pray for her safety.

Facing the disaster, we must firmly stand by our government. Do what we can do best to ease this disaster.  WE  CAN OVERCOME THE DISASTER!

Kingda, I hope your  friends and classmates working there are very well presently .Yes, This is natural disaster, May it's much more hard than weather to be forcasted accurately and promptly, but I still think this is forecasting level problem. We need to increase our or world scientific forecasting level. the wisdom of mainkind is infinite. If we make our mind to focus on this issue, I think We can solve  this problem definitely, hope this day is not far.

In a word, I also absolutely believe we can overcome this disaster cause we are together.

IT IS REALLY THE WORST AND MOST TERRIBLE DISASTER  AS I SAW IN CHINA SINCE I GROW UP. I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE IT WAS SO CRUELTO GRAB THOUSANDS OF  LIVES OF OUR COMPATRIOTS  IN SUCH A MINUTE! 

THE GOVERMENT AND PEOPLE IN THE EARTHQUAKE AREAS ARE TRYING BEST TO SAVE THE LIVES. WE SHALL DO WHAT WE CAN TO HELP THEM. DEEPLY HOPE THE GOVERMENT CAN IMPROVE TO FORECAST THE DISASTERS BEFORE HAPPENING TO HELP THE BEINGS GET RID  FROM THE DISASTERS!!
