I am sure many people have had some bad dealings with some gold members, but if you want to make your thoughts known best to follow the rules and not leave any contact details, the problem you and other people would have is what would the fact a gold member not making the deal with a buyer have to do with Alibaba, in the sence that it's their fault?
You have seen a gold member on the b2b site, contact details are through the supplier and not Alibaba, you send money to the supplier, and the verification check is made not by Alibaba but a third patrty company that checks the registration at the start of the advert, there are no checks to proof this supplier would not make good business with you, or they provide the products or make them, this is upto the buyers to make sure they are happy with the supplier before money is sent.
Let's see how many buyers can not answer these questions as NO and this is where

1. did you buy brand name products or copies
2. payment by W/U or money gram
3. product price lower than the normal trade cost
4. cheap shipping, lower than normal
5. samples sent only by express
6. used a agent in China
7. had quality services or verification check before money sent
8. check the certification for the products and match the company name with the testing company like SGS.
9. make a direct telephone call to the supplier.
10. supplier not online after hours

I understand the way of the sentence that people may feel that all Gold supplier can be trusted, but on the other hand Alibaba have made the pit falls clear, also the third party verification would have a simlar sentence in that this service can save you from a loss, but when you read the small print you can see they would take no liability, like any service they want to sell this, don't mean to say it is any good.

Like i have said before, verification can mean many things, buyers need to read more on what the process of the verification is, and as we see with this is very basic.

In criminal law, both in the West and in China, the party and its staff who knowingly publish advertisments they know to be fraudulent, are every bit as guilty as the criminal scammer himself.

ALIBABA NEEDS TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT THEY WILL NOT TAKE ANY ACTION AGAINST THESE SCAMMERS UNTIL YOU LEARN CHINESE, TRAVEL TO CHINA, HIRE A CHINESE LAWYER AND PROVE IN A CHINESE COURT!
