what can I do next when haven't been replied?
Post 1 of 3

As days goes on, finally i received the first inquiry from alibaba, how excited i am. Of course i do my best to prepare my quote according to my coutomer and sent it to them. Then i received the second , the third and so on inquiries, for all of them , i prepared quote as my best for them as well, but i found i received nothing reply,so i don't know where is wrong, maybe the price ,maybe a unconcrete information, maybe unproforma, but in fact i know nothing for they even give no chance for me to know these.

So what should i do when i didn't receive any reply,it's polite to write back to ask them what's wrong? or should  I give up contacking them any more?

Hi, Many reasons, maybe your price can not meet their target price or even too high, maybe they are not real clients who just come to do investigation over market, whetever.

Doing business especially export business, you need to be enough patient. So keep them into your contact list, and keep in touch in a friendly means, and keep on furnishing them with your latest developed products, and latest price list, etc. Maybe months later or one year later, some real importers will place you one trial order.

Doing export business is not like selling drinks in small retailing shops, it likes giving birth to a baby. Good luck and be patient, you will grow up gradually into a successful businessman.

gl5188022 - if you believe that your quotation was using carefully prepared proforma invoice, your price is competitive and that you provided adequate information to help make a buying decision, then I think you should send a follow up letter informing them that you have not heard from them. It might take several e-mails for a prospective buyer to respond. If they are your target market try to provide them with new information about your product or a reminder e-mail referring to your previous e-mails. If they are interested then I suspect that you will hear from them.  Don’t give up!
