Overseas payements!

Hello,

Can anyone tell me which way of payment is used the most by Suplliers from Hong Kong? T/T isn't my preference because of the risk the buyer is taking but I understand that a lot of companies prefer to use this way of paying.

Thanks in advance!

Its not the payment method you have to be worried about.  The legitimacy and the honesty of the supplier is what you need to be worried about.  Afterall how you pay someone cant change their business prcatices.

hello,i think letter of credit is very reasonable.because it is fair to both buyer and seller.buyer can hand  in only part of money to open it and can get the goods they need. For sellers they can get the money safely.

There are many ways on payment terms. like L/C , T/T ,D/P,D/A ,PAYPAL ,WU and so on.

it's better you are negoaicted with the suppliers.

Both of you should be agreed with your mutual benefits.

The best method to safeguard a transaction between two parties is by using escrow-based transactions. This can be an escrow account  established by a bank , or an escrow agent such as an attorney firm of which many have escrow accounts and will accept transaction payments (without being a client), or an independent escrow business such as Paypal (who handles transactions with internet purchases).    When the payment is in escrow (partial or full payment), both parties must agree that they are satified and are bound to work towards that goal in order to have the money released, and the money cannot go back to the sender unless the supplier agrees; yet the sender has already given the money and so the supplier can feel safe also.  The sender is also safe because the money will not be released unless he is satisfied with the product/service supplied.       The money (or a portion of it) will stay in escrow until both parties work-out any problems, and only a court or arbitration panel can force the money to be released after a legal decision is made.   When the transaction is between parties in different countries, it is best that the escrow agent be selected from a non-involved country unless both parties agree that the escrow agent can be located in either of their countries.

In advance, You should use the BGL for confirmation and L/C for money transfer in the top 25 international banks. The Best thing to do is make sure you know you can trust the supplier and buyer of course.

Good Luck! [em1]
