I need help with getting great quality name brand clothing.
Post 1 of 13

Hi. I am opening a clothing store soon, and I am interested in the Japanese/Korean style fashions. The problem that I am having is finding the sizes in American Large and XLarge. The Korean/Japanese Large sizes is equal to our USA Medium size.......and the medium is USA size small. The Korean/Japanese styles are very trendy and the wholesale prices is excellent and let's my business make more profit rather than buying wholesale from a supplier here in the USA.

I am also having trouble with getting the correct sizes when I purchase from other suppliers in China..........some shirts will say a size XL and fit like a large or some will say Medium size and fit like a XL.  I can not sell the items in my store if the tags are incorrect in sizing.

I have also purchased some brand name shirts that have dye stains on them and loose stiching, and it causes the shirts to fall apart and many times the tagging is incorrect too.

Another problem is sometime when I purchase denim 100% cotton jeans like evi su....the blue dye bleeds very badly and after the first wash they are bad in color and there is a grainy texture to the fabric and makes your skin itch.

The supplier I have is great when it comes to communication and shipping and also prices. But is lacking in quality and tagging.

So can anyone help me solve this problem? I am unfamiliar with using quality control people that can check the items before they get shipped to me in the USA...........and I would realy like to know the best way to make sure that I get great quality when I order something.

Award 10 MVPs ( What's this? )for the best answer.

Well, as far as I know, there is always a trade off between price and quality.

Given the fact that the profit margin for these goods are pretty good, you may want to trade some this margin for product quality.

As for the size thing, you may want to give them more detailed specifications instead of simply relying on categories like XL.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply.........I wish I could find a company that can supply me great quality apparels that have great fashions. The problem is that they all say that their items are great quality, and when I receive the items.......some are in great condition and some are bad quality as I mentioned in my first posting. I would like to find a way to solve this and feel comfortable in knowing that my shippment has all sellable apparels.

Sounds like the originality of some your brands is questionable. I have found that it is easier to purchase in the US inorder to save on the headaches and to almost guaranty that the items are legit. On your urban wear jeans have you tried contacting Carlen Enterprises? They usually have many urban brands in stock, new, authentic and even carry True Religion.

Well``

1,sample for confirmation or as criterion

2,set an agent or a friend in China to check the quality for you

3,find a much better partner, they could be manufacture or agent, price is one side, but quality is another much more important side.

Good luck
