The business culture of Japanese traders
Post 1 of 9
I am into bulk commodities like iron ore, cement and oil products. Invariably I have come across a variety of buyers from across the globe except from Japan. Even in small sized business, I dont see anybody actively participating. The iron ore buyers coming to India are usually try to sign contract with Government or Very formal corporate mining companies, not very active as Chinese or other buyers. i would like to know the business culture of Japanese and how do they manage to do this.

Hi cyber chap, Konnichiwa...

You are dealing with bulk commodities and big in quantities. In my opinion, these kind of bulk commodity trading is usually handled by well established companies (if not to say big companies).

Rather than i write long sentences here to explain to you the Japanese business culture, here i found a very good website that explains many thing about what you want to know. Try "Venture Japan" (http://www.venturejapan.com/japanese-business-culture.htm). This website explains many things about Japan, esspecially beneficial for business people like us.

Hope it helps. Ganbatte kudasai! [em18]
