There are some that accept it.  But if you have found a supplier you want to use you may need to take the time to explain how it works to them.  Have you done any trade with other Chinese supplier so that any new supplier can validate you as a legitimate buyer?

You will probably find that most suppliers don't use it and won't understand it but there is certainly no harm in asking.

Just don't limit yourself too much by insisting upon that payment method if the supplies of that type of product don't accept escrow. Payment via TT or LC with a pre-shipment inspection is relatively safe and probably the method that most suppliers will want to use.

www.dhgate.com offer payment via escrow but the price they sell become higher. alibaba should used this payment method is more safe for buyer. 90% china supplier are scamer.
