As now Foreign exhibiors participation has started in Canton Fair, does any of the fellow members have any experience in how is the fair performance for foreign exhibitors, are they allocated the stalls in the same premises and in the same location with their Chinese counterparts or they are given a seperate location.

  Hello . As my experience .  There are foreigners to exhibit  their goods in canton fair . They are not seperately . They are gotehter with chinese exhibitor. As one chinese .Welcome  you to exhibit your products in canton fair . hehe

Hi Varun, I thought I answered this question last week. Strange. At any rate, I would not necessarily recommend you setting up a booth at the Canton Fair. This year they are screening attendees very severely and attendance is low due to visa issues from the Olympics being held in China.


I would recommend you display in Hong Kong - you will have a higher visitor attendance that is less price sensitive, and it will be a much more pleasant trip for you. I have lots of factory friends who had a bad show this year in Canton, but have heard no major complaints about Hong Kong. I've also heard that more Chinese are looking to attend shows overseas, in Dubai in particular, because of the slowdown in Canton.

Thanks for the messgae, I also have takked with a few buyers about the HK and canton fair, what they say is that the Hongkong fair is expensive and they go and see the products in HK but generally do buying in Canton, as its cheaper out their.

It can merely be the perception also.

I would certainly like to do the HK fair as well. If you ask truly, I am just finding information on which is a better fair for me HK or canton. You comments will be appreciated.
