What is the amount. Ask client to send you a TT. or alternatively wait for the cheque to clear before supplying.

No do not accept any cheques from Uganda. If you do accept you may have to wait for a month to get the proceeds. Unless your Bank confirms actual receipt of funds in your account do not ship

In my opinion the international cheque is the same as a standard cheque all you have to do just wait for the fund to clear into you bank account then ship the goods. There should be no problem at all.

As I said It is so easy guys do not ship the goods unitl the cheque is cleared into the sellers bank accout then you will have the money and they will have the goods. So I could not see any problem with that.

First things, let your client confirmed the couter sample is ok.

Then, It is either T/T transfr before shipment, or Letter or Credit at sight.

International Check should be vlidated to your bank. So, ask your banker is vital important.

Good luck

The only way you would do any business from Uganda is to have all payments

made before and cleared before packing. No Matter what you are told, Uganda is

going into meltdown, so its very important that you protect your Business by being

ulta prudent with any business dealings. There is no such thing as an international cheque. There is only cleared funds in your Bank account.

Good Luck

Richard

I suggest NOT to proceed if paid by International Check. I have experienced once sometime in 2006, I got an order from Togo and paid with International Money Order. I think it is safe, so I release the shipment and in the meantime I clear the check with my bank. Since it is international check, so it takes 1 month to get cleared. At last, It is just a counterfeit check.
