I don't think that Hong Kong is presently in China. Not even the domestic flights of China Airlines land up there and VISA as obvious is needed for its being a different country.

Sorry my friend i don't agree with you, please check below.

Hong Kong was given to UK in 1942 and became apart of UK, but in 1997 it was given back to China, but became a split country, so is in China.

Hong Kong is not in the mainland part of china, and is not the same as the mainland for the via situation.

mainland china you must apply before you leave your country and have the visa in your passport, as for Hong kong you can apply when you get there.

If i was in China and have a multi visa, and i must leave as my visa ends, i can go to Hong Kong and return back to the mainland without leaving China.

If i wanted to go to Canton fair then Hong Kong is a good airport to use, as this is very close to Guangzhou, and i know many clients use.

Domestic flights are not send to Hong Kong only within the mainland of China, due to fact that the laws are not the same.

Remember too about the laws, they drive on the left side like UK, mainland is Right side.

Replying to [motoucom]:I do agree to that China and Hong Kong is separated.

Before I settled down in Hong Kong as a businessman I did work with airports all over the world, in China as well in Hong Kong and many other parts of the world.
Now I have factories in China and sales office in Hong Kong. I need VISA for visiting China even thou I have Permanent Visa for Hong Kong.
Even my wife, born in China but grown up in Hong Kong need to show passport when entering China.
If you take a flight from China to Hong Kong you leave from International Departures, not Domestic.

China regard this as an "One Country Two System policy".

Hong Kong's full name is Hong Kong SAR (Special Administrated Region).

Conclusion: Hong Kong's Airport does not belong to China, even if Hong Kong does.
