2008 Edition Creates a Strong Mandate for NEPCON/EMT

Last week, the eighteenth edition of NEPCON/EMT China yet again proved itself to be the one of the strongest electronics manufacturing event in Asia with another 9% increase in visitor numbers over last year. The event has received widespread praise for the quality of visitors of the show. Eighty percent of the 32,000 square metres of exhibiting space has already been booked for next year’s mega-show. Market leaders such as Samsung, Siemens, Panasonic, Nutek, Assembleon, MyData, First Technology, Speedline, American Tec, Juki, Ascentek, Fuji, Omron, Saki, Agilent, Dage, Viscom and Tamura have already signed up for the 2009 edition.

This year’s show attracted 650 exhibitors from 22 countries and 16,255 visitors, of which 2,811 were VIPs and 494 industry buyers. Over 110 Diamond Club Members, high-level executives from ’s top electronics manufacturing companies, attended the event. 1162 visitor delegations from 30 companies such as ASUS, BENQ, Flextronics, Foxconn, MSI, Samina SCI, Ricoh, Toshiba and Panasonic attended the event through out the 4 days.

“You have to be here if you are in the industry!” says Josephine Lee, East China Vice President, Reed Exhibitions “The industry’s choice is clear. Professionals today will not travel to an event with a few brands when there is a comprehensive platform for the whole industry at NEPCON/EMT. Visitors are looking for quality and value at an event, and the nine percent increase of visitors this year show that NEPCON is well able to achieve it”, she added.
