2) What additional fees should I include when buying oversea? Any regulations I should be aware of?

To my knowledge the golf products industry is very brand conscious. If so then you may want to reconsider your plans here. You cannot buy foreign brand name product from Asia for a cheap price if that is what you are hoping to do, and if you try you WILL lose your money.
If there is a market for non-branded golf products then you may have a viable business.
1. There is a lot of information on the various forums here so have a read through these posts. One thing is to avoid any supplier that makes mention of foreign brand name products as that is the first sign of a dishonest seller.
2. Fees and regulations are product specific and most will be applied your end so you need to take the time to check these yourself. It is your business so I would not rely upon answers from strangers on a public forum if I were you. That won't help when you get into trouble!!
3. No business plans to fail but too many business fail to plan! So do a business plan - even a very rudimentary one - so as to ensure that there is a market for the products and that your costs are less than what you will sell for.
4. First way is to stay away from offers of brand name products. Second is to do due dillgence on sellers. Third is to use a secure payment method like LC. Fourth and perhaps most important is to arrange a third party to do a pre-shipment inspection BEFORE releasing final payment.

This will answer 1, 3, and 4. For 2, you will need to research your product with respect to the regulating organizations in your product market.

first of all when you are selecting your supplier look upon his knowledge regarding the product you required from him how much precise his knowledge about qc, production and supply i think it is the best way to check any supplier what i do most of the time secondly i would liketo check company background normally to get refference of clients in my teritory suppose i am sitting in pakistan i usually ask for existing clients in my market and i check about the company's reputation with that buyer finally when ever i ask for the samples and final orderi used to give my dhl import number to deliver the samples instead of sending small amounts which are so much hactic and distrubing mostly finally i find the best guy most of the time

Hi Jovis,
I too am in a similar situation and here is what I have learned so far. First, there are alot of companies advertising authentic, brand name products such as Callaway, T.M., Ping, etc. However, after a little prodding find that many of these items are just really good knockoffs, or AAA replicas. I have been cautious to purchase any of these items, first, because I am honest and would never offer something to my customers that I knew to be illegal and second because here in the US, many of the large OEM's have really begun to crack down on knockoffs and will prosecute the seller. I have been able to find many reputable vendors who appear to be trustworthy, but you still should remain cautious if you are at all suspicious. I have been in the golf business for almost twenty years and I have seen many individuals lose everything because they tried to beat the system and sell counterfeit goods. My advice to you would be to ask alot of questions when trying to source your products, request to purchase maybe only one or two samples to test the quality and try to only buy from vendors that accept credit card or paypal payments. This way, if an item turns about to be a fraud you will have some sort of recourse. Also, trustpass members and gold suppliers are recognized as honorable, legitimate businesses and you should try to deal with these types of organizations whenever you can. I hope this helps.

I think the sincerely service and good quality products are most important.
2) What additional fees should I include when buying oversea? Any regulations I should be aware of?
It depends on which quotation do you need? In general.we mostly do FOB in China.
3) Any advise on how to get started?
Look for the supplier on the google,or take part in the Fair,then have a visit in the factory if you are willing.
4) How to protect myself from being scammed?
If possible ,you can start an office in China near the supplier,it is easy for you to control the quality,and you can control everything oversea.
