A fellow phone (commodity) dealer brought up GSM Exchange to us the other night over drinks. We have heard of the site before for trading mobile phones but never joined. After seeing all the great answers on these forums I thought I would open it up for discussion here.

It's a great site.I had difficulty becoming a member.5 min after i registered Robert Farkas,one of their sale representitives called me to confirm my company.They WILL NOT allow you a membership unless all your details check out.There's no scammers on GSMX.They wanted my references and actually called them to verify if i was buying from them and at what quantities.They thought i was a scammer the first time i applied and didn't want to give me a pass for the site.After checking me and my company,references etc they gave me a p *.I would say GSMX is the online mobile phone trading hub of the world.They even call to ask if you are going to CEBIT.They have a very friendly and professional approach.I havent personally done one deal through them as i was interested by the suppliers (scammers) prices on Alibaba and got carried away and almost lost my money.

I would have thought that I would have received many more replies to this post. So that leads me to think that there are a lot of small time phone people on this site, GSM Exchange is not as big as they make themslves out to be or maybe people just have not seen this post.

We were approved though in my opinion they dropped the ball as two weeks passed after submitting trade refs. After calling yesterday to see what was going on, a little upset, they had said the list was never received though after a search it was found. It only took less than an hour for them to verify that we are who we say we are. Site offers look good with minimums around. 100 units, and some offers 1000 units. At the least you have the ability to see sources from just about any country that you might not find on your own. I now heavily recommend joining.

We were approved to join as well but then they told us the pricing and we didnt know if it was worth the cost.
Have you since this post done any business on there?
Yes, we have done deals since becomming a member. We have also gained other reliable US sources for phones other than those thrown around on this site. I recommend it! But we have never paid for the "premium" membership, at least we have not as of yet but are thinking of doing so after the first of the year.
