Quoting from [leadesolutions]:After reading all of the stories of people being scammed on this site I have been motivated to create a list of suppliers I have used or companies or people I know have used.
I am prepared to let people have this list, they are all genuine verified suppliers for a variety of products not just in China but worldwide.
Quoting from [emfw2004]:

There are lots of legit cell phone companies out there, and many have their strengths and weaknesses. One may be able to offer you cheap samsung items, while another better prices on Nokia.
The problem really is all the buyers who live in wonderland trying to buy $200 cell phones and resell them for $600. The guy selling the list on this thread is ridiculous. I've offered you a good list right here for free. You can thank me later.

You will be disappointed with the response you get from buyers here in Alibaba, 99.9% are clueless about the trade of mobile phones/branded electronics.
Questions you will probably be asked.
1) Do you accept Escrow?
2) Do you accept credit cards?
3) Do you accept L/C?
4) Do you have worldwide warranties on your products?
5) If you are a licensed distributor of any of these Brands, do you have the distribution license number for each of the brand name products you sell? So that they can check with the brand name company?
6) Do buyers need a license from these brands to sell mobile Phones? if they dont have a license then is it illegal to trade in them? Example if you sell Me Nokia N95s for $500 , can i still wholesale them at $505 (but i dont have any license from the brand to sell them)?
7) Are your Nokia phones only Made in Finland ?
Will be pleased to hear your views.
Yes I agree that 99% of the buyers on this site have no idea what they are doing. Most are small ebayers etc. complaining to me that I should give them rock bottom pricing for their 5 pc order or people who have never bought before, so for the most part nothing good has come of this site.
Basically in my view Alibaba is just a site for newbies thinking their going to be overnight millionaires and the scammers who prey on them. There are very few legitimate buyers and sellers on here.
Now on to your questions...
1. Do you accept escrow???
No we do not. I love this question. They say it protects the buyer, but what about us? Why would I send you like $50k worth of my inventory and ship half way across the world to someone I never met and "hope" that you are honest and tell escrow.com I sent you the stuff? I know many sellers who have been scammed by escrow (us included), we do not offer this option. I prefer that you save the .89% fee escrow.com charges and buy a plane ticket to pick the stuff up yourself. Most legit businesses don't offer this option, as it puts a lot of risk to the seller, and business is usually done by T/T
2. Do you accept credit cards?
For small orders we do. And only after they send us supporting documentation to prove ownership of the card. However for the most part business is done via T/T, as margins are small in this business, and there really is no need to give visa/mastercard etc. 2%.
3. Do you accept L/C?
No we do not. Same deal with Escrow, it really puts a lot of risk on the seller. People think L/C is air tight, but it is not. Also I have heard of people wiggling out of L/Cs with legal loopholes and the last thing we need is 5k pcs of some product we dont have distribution channels for. Our policy is if you want that many units you buy it with your own money via a T/T. If you are uncomfortable with a T/T, well start small and work up. For the most part no legit supplier accepts L/Cs as we have to make an initial cash outlay to our sources.
4. Do you have worldwide warranties for your products?
I get asked this a lot. I am not sure, but is there even such a thing as an "international warranty"??? For example our Nokia products come direct from a distributor, but its only US warranty (we are based in the states). Also we do import a lot of items from HK, and the warranty is basically not valid in the US (they would have to ship to HK). I really think that this is a mythical warranty (I could be wrong). I am pretty sure warranties are meant for specific regions, though I do get asked this question a lot.
5. If you are a licensed distributor of any of these Brands, do you have the distribution license number for each of the brand name products you sell? So that they can check with the brand name company?
We can provide this informatoin for you, however for the most part its unnecessary and it really is confidential. We do not send out copies of contracts to everyone that requests them, that would be silly. We tell people to just come pick up their order or meet us up in person.

Sorry for some reason I cant post the rest of my posts. So I'm going to summarize.
6. No you dont need licenses to re-sell these. Once you purchase from an authorized source, what you do with it is up to you.
7. No not all Nokia phones are made in finland. Please check with Nokia, they have factories all over the world.
If you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
