I am producing a small womens wallet made of a durable waterproof type fabric, similar to that of a toiletry bag.  I need a logo printed on the front (heat transfer, or possibly woven into fabric, depending which is more economical), a zipper on the outside and custom sized clear plastic compartments on the inside to hold specific products.  I have sourced all the products to fill the wallet from suppliers in China through alibaba.com.  However I am now really struggling just having the actual wallet manufactured.  I am receiving different stories from everyone as to whether its better to source the fabric, then find an industrial sewer (or similar) to make it - or to find a company that could supply all the materials and make it.  I am sure there would be a company in China who could do it all, however as it is a new business I do not want to commit to massive quantities for my first order.  I would rather purchase a few hundred to make sure it is correct before ordering larger quantities.  I am in Australia so would prefer to find someone here who could supply materials and/or sew it.    However if that is not possible and I have to source from overseas, what is the best way to liase with supplier overseas (if I find someone overseas who can make it) to ensure the product is made exactly as per my plan - without having a sample product to send them?  And would these companies be willing to do a sample product beofre continuing with a full order?
