I own a company selling bags in the US and outsourcing in the China. I joined alibaba to see if it's an effective tool for my business a few months ago.

So far, nothing has happened since I became a free member and today I just found out that I can no longer contact ANY BUYER. Contact button simply disappeared and no long available no matter how many I tried. Also, I cannot even see contact information of any company.

Is Free Membership useless now?

I think it is abnormal. You'd better contact Alibaba staff at alibaba@alibaba-inc.com. I suggest becoming a TrustPass member. Maybe paid membership can bring other benefits to you. haha
