for this ,as a supplier myself ,i always keep the credit standing and service also good quality products as my business rules , i hope my client can get much better information and service from my factory ,of course also the good quality products so that we can keep long time cooperation and friend ship .

 so i think when we find a new supplier ,we can ask the factory to send us some of his company's business license , and know how do they control their quality ,of course ,the most important is the capacity of production ,as this can shows the how big and how is the capacity of the factory .

  the last ,i think if time and finance allowed ,please go to vist the factory before you placed order to them ,i think when you go to the factory then you can get more information about the factory and can talk with them face to face ,that is a directly and good way to know a factory more well ,of couse ,you also can distinguish a factory when you talking with their sales man ,as from this you also can know how is the factory by another side

1st you have to find QUALIFIED PLATFORM where buyers & supplier will meet.( Just like Alibaba.com, GlobalSources.com etc...)


2nd When you will get Qualified Platform, definitely by this you will get qualified suppliers / buyers.

1. Search their company ( you use keyword=their company) in google engine,yahoo,msn,alibaba,alexa etc. A reliable company always has company website.

2.Call them or fax them to check their company is not scammer

3. Check to the goverment trade organization website , A reliable company always a member of goverment trade organization.

4. Arranged to Visit their factory .

5. Ask to send a sample to you.

6.if needed , you hire representatif (also as your quality control) of your company in their country to search many information of the suppliers

First, i think the supplier should have a website to make you know more about the company.

Second, You can find the news about the company

Third,  talk with someone with the company...

Call Quotes (Technical & Commercial details) as per your expectation

Call sample to evaluate the quality.

You may ask them to submit a questionaire in which you can ask for CIN (Corporate Identity No.) References etc. so that you can evaluate the genuinity / existance of the business.

And last but not least, you can arrange a pre-shipment  (either by agency or call pre-shipment sample) to ensure to get the right quality of the product.
