Let buyers pay for products cost if it is large; let them pay or split the transportaion cost if the products is not expensive.

Try to let your buyers know that sample charge is a rule of you company, I think buyers will understand your situation.

Hi there,

It did happen a lot when we were doing business with the buyers. But Not all of the buyers do the same thing, some of the clients are quite nice and considerate, they would pay for the sample and freight. And do show great sincerity in trading.

BUT, some of the buyers are just on the opposite side, they just think a buyer is superior than the exporter or at least the should overwhelm the supplier. We as the exporters should meet all of their requirements. To tell in a honest way, I do not quite like this kind of buyers. Both of the two sides are businessman, and we all both need to pay effort before we gain profits from the transaction, right? How come do they think they are superior and what makes them feel so arrogant? Here I would like to remind this kind of buyers that it's no a charitable deed when they purchase the goods from us, both of would gain profits from the trading but not just us exporters.

Anyway, it's the reality that buyer can play a overwhelming role. So if your products are of low value, you can consider a free sample offer, but the freight should be for the buyers' account.

Not a few international buyers said that they had once been deceived, but it's also same that quite a lot of exporter were once cheated.

To make a better international trading environment both buyers and suppiers should be sincere and think of each other's side.

Most of the buyers do not like to pay for the samples as they are working with a new company and they do not know the exact quality of your products.

But from the next time when they work with your company they will be knowing the quality of your products so they may pay you for the samples.

No, I don't think so. As a buyer, we often got the sample that doesnt mix to the product what we are looking for. Like the quality and design. So, thats would be disadvantages for us to pay the cost. While,  the supplier especially the factory that supply the product, I think thats not too freaky to pay for little money compare to their big assets / money, Right ?  [em18]

Hello, i am from the other side,

I try to find reliable suppliers to make my company but already lost 600USD because i send money via W/U for sample and they didnt send... I think here on Alibaba you can find and * sample-hunters but and fake companys which they try to destroy trust of people. For example i cant trust again nobody of suppliers here because of them!!!!

Maybe was my mistake that i trust Free user... I never had problem with Gold Suppliers...

Why don't you simply write a letter telling them your terms? If you have problems with samples, you will have problems with the whole contract!

norman

zankie@aol.com I will help you with your letter.

How about if buyer pays for the sample & deliery charge and later if buyer decides to place an order, supplier will reimbuse the money? Fair enough?
