Post 1 of 37
How can we rebuild trust were one has been badly damaged.
The African question is a very patetic one but i believe that we can all join hands to change things in our world. so, what do we do to stop this nonesence?

You've done well in taking this initiative. I feel sorry for many African countries whose reputations have been marred by a number of scammers. But I do trust that these countries can bounce back through the sincere and passionate efforts of their concerned citizens, such as yourself, and the cooperation and goodwill of their networks, such as here in Alibaba. I've been to Africa - lived for 2 years in the Gambia where by husband worked as a UN Volunteer Professional back in 1987-89, and also visited Senegal. A close Nepali friend of mine married a Ghanaian just 2 years back.

I remember posting much earlier about my interest to do business with some African buyers but somehow haven't made a headway. I did receive some inquiries but after I responded there were no further replies.

I have every good wish for Africa because its progress can only mean a better world for all of us.

Replying to [eloho]:Its very sad when people say that africans hardly work very sad. Because they are the most hard working people in the world.under bad situation bad government, no education, no hospital corrupt officials stealing their money. 80% africans do not have access to the internet its this half educated young guys criminal minded that are scamming people on the internet. not the regular Africans. the regular african mostly are trying to get through each day they do not have access to the internet. They are trying to survive blackout, bad road, no hospital, no good wages.harsh extreme condition they do not go on the internet no money to log on.
Unfortunately its this few criminals that the world focus on, We in Africa look down on them they dont represent us. they are the dregs in the barrel the rotten apples.

Replying to [eloho]: I like the way you talk, I appreciate the comments you've made, and i know with people like you who have seen and still see a positive side in Africa, we can only be encouraged to get better. If i ma ask what do you deal on, and can i know a little about your country and what they have to offer the rest of the world.
Thank you once again.[em1]

Exactly, and you said it so well. I think it's terrible how the leaders of some countries seem to have no place in their heart for their very own citizens.

It must be so hard in your own country, Nigeria, where there is only one real industry - oil - from which ordinary people there seem to get no benefit.

You know Anna, just one determined person like you can make a big difference.

How about identifying some genuine little suppliers in your own local district for our members. Everybody I know is presently too darn frightened to deal.

I'll give you all the support you need in our Due Diligence forum if you want to put your mind to it.

Replying to [eloho]: I am very pleased that we are all making a headway in this discussion,. I couldn't have agreed less with my friends, but we must also note that a country like Nigeria has alot going for it., oil is not all they have, they have basically everything to make a nation great ,Both in Human and natural resources.
If it is agriculture, they can produce almost in Nigeria, so no one has an excuse to be poor or lazy. Africa was blesed by God with a lot , we have the challenge of bad leadership, but we can show the right way of leading by the individuals first leading themselves in the right direction.
To whom much is given, much is expected.[em1]

The problem in African business is that most investors in Africa are also very greedy in their approach and african unethical business people take advantage of them . i think its aproblem on both parts . the good companies oveseas should look for a responsible bridge builder in approaching african business instead of jumping at every proposals that will bring them enomous quick profit

I think you will find it was Mr. Mandela in South Africa standing up against apartheid, not Mr. Gandhi...two great men nevertheless!
