what does the buyers need an agent? why does the buyer no need an agent ?

there is a few things that i want to discuss as below:

 

the buyer from abroad sometime will need an agent to inspect their order and place order on their behalf to make sure someone can handle everything in their order, to get a honest agent will make the international business goes more easily and convenient,

 

but the things goes opposite, sometimes the buyer will think it just waste their time and cost on getting an agent, they can deal with factories directly, no need any agent of trader at all, they will place order only through the real supplier and they believe them and verify them before the order confirm,

 

what is the different of this in your opinion, and which way you going to select if you are the buyer ?

we would like to share some real comment from your experience.

It really depend on the buyer.  If the factory is big and proffessional enough they would rather deal with the factory directly without agent.  However, at the same time there are some big buyer that preferred to do business with agent because their proffessionalism and understanding of the market.  If your company not proffessional enough that would be very hard to get the business with thos buyers.

yes, it's true, professionalism is the most important when the buyers sort out their agent, but, here is another issue, in case of the buyer buying from a very big factory, and they are only buy one range of product, then they are deal with the factory directly without any third party, so, for the internaional business, a buyer must be a wholesaler in their martketpalce, so , they buy various things, which can not be offered by only one manufacturer, they have to buy from many, here is the deal, they have to run risk of many suppliers, in another aspect , the cost of they dealing with those supplier is not a few, but an agent can reslove them all, anyway, to come back our issue, the agent acutally must be capable and professional, and this have to build up by a long time but not just by several deals,

China has more and more skilled international business dealer than before, these people work from trading company to factory, or from factory to trading company, from big company to small one, from small one to big one, and buyer can work directly with these people if they are working for a factory.  this is why the buyer can do business directly with factories nowadays.  but I found that there is still not enough years experienced dealer on the export side to work with customer.

A experienced dealer must can service cutomer and keep everything well during transaction.
