The exhibitors to attend the 103rd Canton Fair increases by 20 percent over the previous session, despite the organizing committee’s new requirement that exhibitors should provide documentation proving they do not have criminal records.

The 103rd Chinese Import and Export Commodities Fair will open in Guangzhou tomorrow (April. 15). The Fair is expected to have 18660 enterprises displaying their latest goods to purchasers from all over the world, 20 percent more than last session, according to the organizing committee.

This session will add a 201,000 sq.m exhibition area in the Pazhou Complex, and the number of booths is increased to 42661.

Some of the exhibitors are not so optimistic. They are estimated that business in the Fair will be affected by US secondary **** crisis and the rapid rise of the yuan value, and the trade volume may shrink about 30 percent.
