Is it common for a payment being made when suddenly the Beneficiary Name appears totally different from the Company Name, I don't want to seem Paranoid but is this normal?

It is not usual that the beneficiency name is different from the company name in L/C.

In this case, the seller (beneficiency) may want to get your payment by himself, NOT for the comapny. Moreover, the Company may not have the right to handle the EXPORT business. Thus, they need to use another one to handle the export business.
