HK to Guangzhou Canton fair is about 2-3 hour travel time door-to-door. If you will be visiting the fair for few days you better stay in Guangzhou. Accommodation is tight during the fair weeks so you better get some travel agents in HK or Guangzhou to arrange for you. You shouldn't have problem to find a place, just the price vs quality. Room prices are generally inflated during the weeks.


The show halls are all located nearby metro stations, so you can just pick hotels near a  metro lines.

Hong Kong is not that far from Guangzhou.

You can take a train from Hung Hom station in HK to East Guangzhou station. The trainride takes approx. 90 min and an adult ticket costs HK$190.

Pretty much agree with the previous posters. Hong Kong is getting a hotter at the moment and humid as well, just to let you know.


Been to the Canton fair from HK on several occasions. When we leave in the mourning  (8-9am) we usually end up there just before lunch time, by the time you have lunch it's around 1pm or later, so just be prepared of the time constraints. You spend 3-4hours just getting there or back from HK.
