My first deal was about to be a big scam. I am sceptical about anyone that does not live in the same country as me . Who can I trust After reading a few messages in these forums you do know who is out to take advantage of you. I really do not have time to research everyone i encounter but i guess its a must huh?

Yes, you need to do due diligence before you deal with anyone, even a gold supplier on alibaba.com.

Remember, nobody is 100% trustworthy, especially on the internet.

The first rule for new buyers is to avoid the temptation to go for brand name product. By avoiding suppliers who purport to sell brand name product you are already half way there to safe trading. The other half comes with due dilligence and common sense.

just from my point of view - you can get scammed even on a street and not only here.

I can suggest you the following:


- if you are serious importer and buyer first you will find some potential suppliers

- make visit to them (it's cheaper than to be scammed for thousands of dollars)

- after visit decide with whom you can start to work, first small than bigger orders

- make good sale agreement and if neccessary take services of Chinese law agencies

- I'am importing from China for 3 years now (est 5 mil. USD) and I have choose my partners based on above suggestions
