A sinister man dropped by a party. At the party was a very large punch bowl filled with juice. The sinister man discreetly dropped some poison into the punch bowl. He then drank a glassful of the juice and quickly left the party. At the end of the evening, everyone at the party had dropped dead. The sinister man did not die.

Replying to [EnglishRyan]:
When he took a glassful of the juice, he has just dropped the poison and it has not mixed well with the punch as yet, so he survived and the rest who drank much later perished.

Read again! It says, "he drank a glassful of THE juice", not "of juice". So it was the same juice, but obviously served in the glass before it was poisoned.
The way that I have worded the problem definitely makes your solution plausible. But I must add:
The man drank the juice from the same punch bowl that he dropped the poison in.
He also did not have any immunity to the poison.
There was a post earlier that came quite close to the answer but was not entirely right. :D

Quoting from [EnglishRyan]:The poison he dropped in the punch bowl filled with juice was in solid form..it took time to dissolve.

Well, perhaps I didn't express myself well enough. I agree that he got his juice form the same bowl, only that he SERVED his glass BEFORE "dropping" the poison into the bowl. After doing that he (probably ostensibly) drank his juice, in case there would be any remaining witnesses who otherwise would declare that he was the only one who didn't drink from it (and that would be suspicious). - Does that make sense? At least, if I were the murderer, I would most likely do it this way. Not that I have much experience in murdering... ![]()
