Post 1 of 4
How can i trust that i am talking to the actual manufacturer and not the middle man???? Please tell me here as i have wasted so much time talking, negotiating and at the end  i find out its a re-seller asking me to send payment via western union before i even say which color bags.I am looking for a manufacturer that makes stylish latest designs brand handbags also-> latptop computers. Yes there is hundreds but how can i be sure they are real and the actual makers of the products being in Europe. Some companies that claim they are so big in export  they are actually blacklisted in some sites on the internet when i looked them up. Please understand that i have lost over $2000us in the past buying from China, this is why i am causious. I am not giving up as i am sure there is good reliable, proffesional manufacturers out there but how can i find them???? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

First off, what isthe problem with dealing with middle men? I don't see any problem with that so perhaps you would like to outline your concerns.

Secondly, I assume that you are looking to buy small quantities i.e. 10's to 100's of pieces. Unless you are willing or able to buy 1,000+ pcs of a certain item then you will not likely be able to deal with a legitimate manufacturer. That is the role of middlemen who go in and buy these large quantities and then onsell to smaller buyers for a profit. So the only way to cut out the middle man is to buy in big enough quantities that a factory would be willing to talk with you.

Thirdly, you mention laptops and designer bags. If you are talking about foreign brand name product then give it away now. You cannot buy foreign brand name product from suppliers in Asia and you WILL get scammed if you try. You have already lost USD2,000 trying to get this stuff, why keep feeding the scammers?

Fourth, the secret to success is to have someone on the ground in the country you are buying from to help out. You can either contract a large company to help with pre-shipment inspections or a just a private individual to act as a helper. Either way you have eyes on the ground.

Well said.  If people only used practical common sense they would know why they have to deal with a trading company or re-seller instead of the manufacturer.  I would venture to say there are not many of U.S. that actually deal with manufacturers here on Alibaba.  I know if I approached a manufacturer on behalf of a client that only wanted to buy 10 pcs - 100 pcs of something they would laugh at me.  Therefore common sense tells you that if you want manufacturer pre distribution prices.  You surely need to buy in quanities at or near the levels of their distributors.  It would be like walking up to the FORD Motor Plant and saying I want to buy 10 Trucks at a cost less than the distributor pays.  Its just not going to happen.  When they start understanding this they will be far better off.   Once again good post.

It is easy, try to find those manufacturer who are verified by SGS, and ask them show you the SGS report or with SGS series number from website, you can see whether it is a true manufacturer or not.

Such like us, we are SGS verified manufacturer, we might be the supplier you are looking for, maybe you can add my ID:chuangda,  then we can talk about it.
